About the Class: Magical Pacific Northwest Art Workshop

"The Pacific Northwest is surrounded by a huge variety of nature. Forests, lakes, and the ocean offer an unbelievable amount of inspiration! 🌲🌊 In this class, we will explore clay, drawing, painting, and mixed media to express the magic and beauty of our environment and raise awareness to protect our nature." 🍃

• ⏰ When: Wednesdays, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM (Right after school! 90 mins)

• 📍 Location: Maddie's classroom 

• 📅 Dates: Sept 23 – Oct 28 (6 Weeks: 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28)

• 🏷️ Tuition: $330 + tax (All high-quality materials included! 🖌️✨)

🌟 What We Will Create in These 6 Weeks

• • 🏺 Weeks 1–2 (Clay & Sculpting): Learn tactile clay sculpting and texture techniques inspired by native plants, trees, and PNW wildlife! 🦉🌲

  • 🎨 Weeks 3–4 (Painting & Color Magic): Paint vibrant ocean scenes, tide pools, and marine life using watercolor and acrylic techniques! 🌊🐠

  • 🍂 Weeks 5–6 (Mixed Media Nature Art): Integrate real natural elements—like leaves, twigs, and sand—directly into multi-layered artwork! 🐚🌿

Registration is officially open for our upcoming Fall after-school Ukelele program with New Bach Music School! 🎉 Ideally, we will like to make this a year long program.  Because space is limited we are first opening it up to 2nd-5th graders.  If there is space available, I will send out a separate email to 1st graders.

  4. 🏷️ Tuition: $380 (8 Sessions)

✨ What Students Will Learn:

• 🎸 Core Basics: Proper holding posture, tuning, finger positioning, and fretboard geography

• 🎼 Rhythm & Chords: Essential beginner chords (C, F, G, Am), strumming patterns, and tempo coordination.

• 🎤 Song Repertoire & Ensemble: Playing popular sing-along songs and harmonizing together in a group

• 🔥 Year-Long Vision: With consistent practice over the year, students will build the confidence to bring their ukuleles to Camp Seymour and play around the campfire with their friends! ⛺🪵

Ukuleles will be provided.
